Three questions to ask about your sexy shoot-
1) I don’t know how to pose… I’ve never done this before! Will you help me?
Because every photographer has their own style of shooting, this is such an important question to ask. Boudoir involves some twisting, turning, holding, and squeezing, so if you’ve never done a sexy shoot before, it’s a great idea to book with a photographer who guides you on the poses. Think of it like yoga or dance- if you aren’t a yogi or dancer, you’ll definitely want a coach there showing you what to do! The best coaches do the moves with you- they don’t just tell you where to put each body part. A great photographer will not only be able to describe how to best position your body, but they will also get down on the floor and demonstrate for you!
2) What are my options for displaying and/or viewing my images after my shoot?
This is always great to think about ahead of time, as not everyone has the same options! If you would like to have your images put into an album, make sure that your photographer offers this before booking! Digital images are always great to have. Our personal suggestion is to get an album AND the digital files- God forbid anything every happens to the album, you’ll have the digital images as a back up so that you can have the album created! Always ask ahead of time though so that you can get an idea of the investment for your shoot and your options for payment as well!
3) Is professional makeup included in my session fee or shoot package?
Having professional looking makeup is so important when it comes down to details. Trust us when we say that “camera makeup” is actually very different from every day makeup and can make or break your images. Unless you have a background in makeup application, we always recommend choosing a session that includes professional makeup! Always ask your photographer if professional makeup is included with your session fee or shoot package. If it is not included, be sure to ask your photographer for some recommendations of who to book an appointment with. Give yourself about 90 minutes before your shoot to get glammed up. Our top two Noëlle Glamour + Boudoir sessions include professional makeup!
