What Should I Bring to my Boudoir Photoshoot?

As your big day approaches, you might be wondering what to bring to your shoot! Intimates? Props? Shoes?… Ah!!

Don’t worry if you feel a little overwhelmed- we’ll help you pick your outfits ahead of time and then do a final outfit selection when you arrive at the photo studio!

In the meantime, here are some basics to start packing in your bag!

Sexy Shoot Essentials

What’s the most comfy, sexy piece a woman can own? A robe! Grab a cute satin or lace robe for your shoot. Your best bet for keeping it wrinkle free is to bring it on a hanger. Worried that it may wrinkle anyway? Ask your photographer if they have a handheld steamer at their studio space. We have one at our studio!

The Absolute Basics

I can almost guarantee that you have these items in your home. Do you have a basic white button down? What about a cozy, favorite t-shirt? Bring them with you to your shoot! We love how much “you” these items can add to a shoot. Let your personality shine. Bring the Metallica shirt or the favorite fall flannel!

One Piece, Two Piece, Three Piece, Four…

Can you guess where we’re going with this one? Bodysuits, sets with a bustier/corset and panties, or sets with a garter, stockings, fishnets, etc… these are all so much fun to pose in. If you want a more simple look, a lace bodysuit is always an awesome go-to.

Boudoir Is A Girl’s Best Friend… But Shoes Are A Close Second

A lot of boudoir posing is done without shoes on, but it can be so much fun to throw on your favorite pair of heels and incorporate them into some shots. If you’re doing a bridal boudoir shoot, we definitely recommend bringing your shoes that you’re going to wear on the big day!
